We spent our first day of February at The Foundry's Open House in Long Island City. Standing strong since the early 1900s, this unique building not only has history, but eclectic charm. An ode to the ground's original use in manufacturing fine varnishes, the decor is not only aesthetically pleasing, but museum quality. Each room with a vibe of it's own, it gives a chic backdrop to the lavish events it's now used to host.
Golden Estate Entertainment was there with their cool jazzy vibes. Morgan's vocals were magic and the acoustics of the raw space brought the band to life.
Bella Figura was also there with some of their stationary on display.
The Main Space & Courtyard are where most of the action happens, but there are additional spaces that you can move your guests through or utilize for higher guest counts when planning an event to the magnitude of a wedding. They seat over 150 people comfortably with plenty of room for decor and specialty displays.
If you already have a wedding venue, each room can be rented individually for smaller events like a bridal shower, engagement party or rehearsal dinner on weekdays.
Two level seating in The Main Space provides every one of your guests with a great view. Being able to have an intimate ceremony on-site is a convenience and a joy with the security of being indoors and not having to worry about weather.
The Greenhouse can be added for guests to enjoy passed hors d' oeuvres before the main reception. Then, rectangle seating in The Courtyard makes for a delightful al fresco dining experience. Either under the stars or this space can be tented and further decorated based on your personal style, vision and budget. A porch offers just the right amount of space for a band to play and don't worry, there is always room for dancing.
There are even more rooms where an after party can be held which makes this a one-stop shop for the ultimate wedding celebration.
Walk through the rooms with us during their Open House in our video below. We'll take you upstairs where they have a suite equipped with many mirrors and outlets that make getting ready on-site a breeze. You'll also see some of the food Naturally Delicious shared with us. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls were light, refreshing and flavorful, but the hit of the event was their Hot Toddy with it's a warm fusion of citrus and spice. It was such a good signature drink for that brisk Winter day.
You also can't miss the beautiful floral arrangement provided by Pixel Poppy. The soft colors were a lovely light pop against the vines of The Greenhouse.
Thanks to Venue Manager, Angela Ortiz and Event Manager, Lindsey Hamma for giving us all the helpful and historic info on the property. Reach out and let us know what type of event you see yourself planning here. We would love to give you a grand guided tour of your own and hear all about your vision. We thrive on bringing those visions to life.
